Intergroup Officers are the Chairperson, Alternate Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer and Alternate Treasurer. Intergroup is also seeking new Trustees. These positions are elected by the Intergroup Reps. Their term is two years and starts in January after elections. The people that are currently in these positions will help you learn how to do the job. If you are interested in one of these positions, please complete the attached Officer or Trustee Service Resume form and bring it to Intergroup at the July 5th or August 2nd Intergroup meeting. All submissions will be considered.

These positions are appointed by the incoming Intergroup Officers. Their terms are currently one year and start in January. The people that are in these positions will help you learn how to serve in that position. If you are interested in one of these positions, please complete the attached Chairperson Service Resume form and bring it to Intergroup at the July 5th or August 2nd Intergroup meeting. All submissions will be considered.

If your group doesn’t have an Intergroup Rep, please consider electing someone to participate in this vital service. The Intergroup Rep’s job is to bring your Group up to date about what is going on at Intergroup and let Intergroup know of any support your Group may need.

Some Core Intergroup Service Roles

  • Intergroup Representative (IGR): The liaison between your specific home group and Nature Coast Intergroup. You attend monthly meetings to vote on Intergroup matters and bring information back to your group.
  • Hotline/12-Step Volunteer: Answers the local 24/7 helpline during specific shifts, offering support to those in crisis and coordinating volunteers to help newcomers get to meetings.
  • Events/Activities Coordinator: Helps organize and promote regional AA unity events, workshops, or alcathons.
  • Web/Technology Chair: Maintains the local Intergroup website, updates meeting lists, or manages virtual meeting rooms and cloud services.
  • Newsletter Editor: Compiles, edits, and distributes the local Intergroup newsletter to keep the fellowship informed.
